Third-generation Vitz, launched in December 2010. Stop–start 1·3 the most innovative on launch, saving fuel to the tune of 26·5 km/l (75 mpg [Imperial]). Production first with UV-reducing glass in the front-door glass, reducing 99 per cent of UV light. Topped with RS model, equipped with 1·5, though FWD only; 4WD available for lesser models. CVT option across range. Larger and more athletic exterior, with Cd dropping to 0,285, appearing less international and more Japanese than its predecessor; more interior room.
