Dodge Demon
From AutocadeDodge Demon (A-body). 1971–2 (prod. n/a). 2-door coupé. F/R, 198 in³ (I6 OHV), 318, 340 in³ (V8 OHV). Dodge’s version of the Plymouth Duster, and the lowest-priced model in its range. Marketed with a cartoon character carrying a pitchfork, to which Christian groups objected, and the car became Dart Sport for 1973. Reliable as with A-bodies of this era, and with good handling and roadholding, though poor rearward visibility due to its styling. Also poor rear accommodation, due to the shorter wheelbase (108 in) compared with regular Darts.
Marque: Dodge | Successor: Dodge Dart (1970–6)
