Autobianchi Primula. 1964–70 (prod. 74,858). 2-, 3-, 4- and 5-door saloon, 2-door coupé. F/F, 1197, 1221, 1438 cm³ (4 cyl. OHV). Fiat’s first front-wheel-drive range, rivalling BMC’s ADO16 models made by Innocenti. Very advanced for its time, with front drive, transverse engine, all-round disc brakes, and optional hatchback. Fastback coupé, styled by Touring, from 1965, with 64 cv 1·4. Well regarded, and convinced Fiat that front-wheel drive could be a success. Minor restyle 1968 and coupé deleted.

Manufacturing location: Italy

Marque: Autobianchi | Successors: Autobianchi A112
