Revision as of 11:39, 8 May 2012Dodge Diplomat (M-body). 1977–89 (prod. unknown). 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon, 2-door coupé. F/R, 3678 cm³ (6 cyl. OHV), 5210, 5898 cm³ (V8 OHV). Fancy version of Dodge Aspen with longer wheelbase, and initially suffered from Chrysler’s quality woes, especially with bodywork. Identical to Chrysler LeBaron (1977–81), with similar refresh in 1980 for sedan and coupé. Coupé and wagon deleted in 1982, sixes deleted 1983. Upmarket SE model from 1984. Continued with minimal changes to the end of its run. Also sold as Dart in México and Coronet in Colombia.
