BYD Huweijian 07 (比亞迪護衛艦07/比亚迪护卫舰07). 2022 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/F, F/A, 18·3 kWh–1497 cm³, 36·8 kWh–1497 cm³ electric–petrol hybrid (I4 DOHC). Well priced flagship mid-sized crossover for BYD’s Warship series, usually translated as Frigate 07 or Corvette 07. Good power output. Reasonably roomy for rear-seat passengers, and decent sized 615 ℓ boot (1,865 ℓ once rear seats are flat). Rotating centre screen (measuring 15·6 in) and soft materials in interior. Single-motor or dual-motor hybrid system, with excellent fuel economy. MacPherson struts at front, multi-link at rear, providing a good, stable ride, with the roll well absorbed.
