BYD Quzhujian 05 (比亞迪驅逐艦05/比亚迪驱逐舰05) (F5). 4-door sedan. 2022 to date (prod. n/a). F/F, 8·3 kWh–1498 cm³, 18·3 kWh–1498 cm³ electric–petrol hybrid (I4 DOHC). A quiet start for BYD’s compact sedan in its ‘Ocean series warship’ portfolio, with 驅逐艦 translating to destroyer. Long wheelbase for the class, at 2,718 mm, translating into interior room. In 2024, price reductions to 80,000元 (competitive with petrol-only cars) and the Honour Series model saw the Quzhujian 05’s sales shoot up. Good performance, targeted at younger buyers. Well equipped, with rotating central control screen; intelligent driving system available. Very low fuel consumption, and 17 kW fast charging function if required. Free over-the-air system upgrades available.
