Revision as of 13:25, 10 May 2024Chrysler Valiant. 1965–72 (prod. 25,226 sold for V100 and Rebel, 11,813 sold for VIP, 6,087 sold for Safari). 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon. F/R, 3684 cm³ (I6 OHV). South African edition of the Plymouth Valiant (1963–6), with the 1968 refresh taking the bodies from the Plymouth Valiant (1967–73), jump-starting sedan sales. South African-made Slant Six on all models. Safari wagon from 1967, VIP introduced with the 1968 refresh; at the same time the Rebel replaced V100. Ultimately replaced by Australian-bodied Valiants.
