Latest revision as of 18:39, 23 November 2013Vauxhall Cresta (PB). 1962–5 (prod. 87,047 incl. Velox). 4-door saloon, 5-door estate. F/R, 2651, 3294 cm³ (I6 OHV). Boxier successor to PA, which had dated by the time of PB’s release, but similar in engineering and positioning. Larger engine from 1964. Three-speed with overdrive now available for 2·7; four-speed option for 3·3. Front servo-assisted disc brakes were standard. Improvements each year, with 1965s featuring acrylic paintwork and two-speed wipers.
