Volvo V90 (X44). 1996–8 (prod. 1,430,000 approx., including 740, 760, 940, 960 and S90). 5-door estate. F/R, 2473, 2922 cm³ (I6 DOHC). Estate counterpart to S90, with the same improvements, and the last of the 760-based rear-drive models. Solid as with predecessor, but actually smaller inside than the cheaper V70 that ultimately took over as the standard large Volvo estate.
