1997 Toyota Mark II Qualis.jpg

Toyota Mark II Qualis (SXV20W/MCV20W). 1997–2001 (prod. 87,940 sold in Japan). 5-door wagon. F/F, F/A, 2164 cm³ (I4 DOHC), 2496, 2995 cm³ (V6 DOHC). Succeeded the long-lived X70 wagon. Unlike the contemporary Mark II line, Qualis was on a separate platform, and was essentially the wagon version of the Toyota Camry (XV20). Consequently, it was the only Mark II on a front-drive platform. Reasonably well equipped, three-litre models equipped with, inter alia, standard sunroof and CD navigation. Initially front-drive only, four-wheel drive added within two months of launch. Mid-term changes August 1999, with introduction of a Tourer Edition, and variable valve timing on the 3·0-litre engine. Production ceased December 2001.

Manufacturing location: Japan

Marque: Toyota | Model: Toyota Mark II | Predecessor: Toyota Mark II (X70) | Successor: Toyota Mark II Blit
