Toyota Corolla II (EL30/NL30). 1986–90 (prod. n/a). 3- and 5-door sedan. F/F, 1295, 1456 cm³ petrol, 1453 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC). Second-generation Corolla II, with straight-edged styling. Pop-up headlights for more sporting versions. Turbocharged 1·5 models, in both petrol and diesel, as Japanese buyers went for performance versions during the 1980s. Minor mid-term changes in 1988.
