Styled by Franz von Holzhausen, who penned the Pontiac Solstice, with low C_d of 0,24. Excellent, immediate power delivery from batteries, and very little pitch and roll. Very good grip and ride. Seventeen-inch central touch screen replacing dashboard buttons. “Supercharging” by way of a software update for 85 kWh models. Still some range anxiety but a more convincing effort than Roadster. S D (D for dual motor) from 2014, with an extra engine at front to power front axle, making it all-wheel-drive; performance 85 kWh model, P85D, could reach 60 mph in 3·2 s, the same as a McLaren F1; extra motor boosted range by 10 miles to c. 275 miles.
