XL-7 (with a hyphen) was the export name for the Suzuki Grand Escudo, but by 2006, the hyphen was gone and the new car was based on a GM platform related to that underpinning the [[Chevrolet Equinox]], [[Pontiac Torrent]], [[Saturn Vue]] and [[Opel Antara]].
