Shinjin Jeep. 1974–81 (prod. n/a). 2-door convertible UV, 4-door LWB UV. F/A, 2199 cm³ petrol, 2771 cm³ diesel (I4 OHV), 3801 cm³ (I6 OHV). Shinjin Motors and AMC established Shinjin Jeep in 1974, with more local content, with designs based around the Jeep CJ-5. Hurricane 2·2 cast-iron four carried over, though AMC six with 100 hp added in September 1974. AMC withdrew from the venture in 1978. Isuzu diesel engine added 1979. CJ-7-based models from 1980.
