2005 Shanghai Maple Haiyu.jpg

Shanghai Maple Haiyu (華普 海域/华普 海域/SMA 7131/SMA 7132/SMA 7150/SMA 7151/SMA 7181). 2005 to date (prod. n/a). 4- and 5-door sedan. F/F, 1342, 1498, 1762 cm³ (4 cyl. DOHC). Facelifted version of Marindo, still based around the Citroën ZX but with Toyota-clone and Geely engines. Largest 1·8 introduced in 2005. No 1·3 for 2006, but engine returned the following year. Largest engine deleted for 2009 as Haiyu wound up at the bottom end of the market. Not to be confused with Haiyue (海悦), a hatchback on the same base, introduced in 2008.
