Mid-sized family car from Renault. Turbo models fairly quick, though quality not its strongest suit, especially compared with contemporary Opel Vectra A. Facelifted 1989, when five-door and four-wheel-drive Quadra versions added. European production of saloons to 1994, estates to 1995; to 1996 in Turkey (with Manager, Concorde and Optima trims); continued in South America till 1997. Formed basis of US-market Renault Medallion (later Eagle Medallion).
