Opel Senator.jpg

Opel Senator. 1982–7 (prod. n/a). 4-door saloon. F/R, 1979 cm³ (4 cyl. CIH), 2197 cm³ petrol, 2260 cm³ diesel (4 cyl. OHC), 2490, 2784, 2969 cm³ (6 cyl. OHC). Facelifted A1, with engineering improvements, including better aerodynamics (Cd at 0,39). Lower bonnet at front, with integrated fog lights; improved interior. Larger engine range, in the hope of capturing more sales, but diesel failed to catch on, with less refinement from the four-cylinder unit than the five- and six-cylinder units at Mercedes-Benz, Audi and BMW.

Manufacturing locations: Rüsselsheim, Germany; Port Elizabeth, South Africa

Marque: Opel | Model: Opel Senator | Predecessors: Opel Senator A1 | Successor: Opel Senator B
