Opel Omega/Chevrolet Omega. 1986–98 (prod. n/a). 4-door saloon, 5-door estate. F/R, 1796, 1998, 2198, 2410 cm³ petrol, 2260 cm³ diesel (4 cyl. OHC), 2594, 2969 cm³ (6 cyl. OHC), 2969, 3615 cm³ (6 cyl. DOHC), 4093 cm³ (6 cyl. OHV). Very aerodynamic for its time (base saloon had a Cd of 0,28), refined large car, with good fuel economy. New platform, with rear trailing arms and disc brakes all round. Hot Lotus Omega model at top of range with DOHC six, delivering 377 PS (277 kW), and costing DM 125,000. German production to end of 1993. Brazilian Chevrolet Omega started 1992 with Opel engines, before moving to 2·2 and Chevrolet OHV 4·1 from 1995. Chevrolet Omega wagon tagged Suprema, instead of Caravan.
