Oldsmobile Cutlass Salon (G-body). 1985–7 (prod. n/a). 2-door coupé. F/R, 3790 cm³ (V6 OHV), 5031 cm³ (V8 OHV). A model line this time, rather than a trim level, Salon was a renamed Calais on the old A-special (a.k.a. G-body) platform. Buick V6 the base engine, with the Oldsmobile 307 optional; the 442 package (1985–6) came with the latter. Similar to previous model, with facelift in 1987; one of the better-built cars in the mid-size personal–luxury market. Supreme remained the only model with this shape in the Olds range for 1988.
