Known for the use of Paul Newman in its advertising, and he lent his name to sporting models with badges bearing his signature. Z and L engines at launch, DOHC from October 1981; CA engines from 1982, replacing Z units. Turbo from 1983, noted as the most powerful Skyline to date. Fiftieth anniversary model in November 1983, based on 2000 Turbo RS-X two-door.
