Nissan Skyline (R30). 1981–5 (prod. 406,432). 4- and 5-door sedan, 2-door coupé, 5-door wagon. F/R, 1770, 1809, 1952 cm³ (I4 OHC), 1990, 2082 cm³ (I4 DOHC), 1998 cm³ petrol, 2792 cm³ diesel (I6 OHC). All-new Skyline for the 1980s, with single wheelbase for all models. Known for the use of Paul Newman in its advertising, and he lent his name to sporting models with badges bearing his signature. Z and L engines at launch, DOHC from October 1981; CA engines from 1982, replacing Z units. Turbo from 1983, noted as the most powerful Skyline to date. Fiftieth anniversary model in November 1983, based on 2000 Turbo RS-X two-door.
