Nissan March (K10). 1982–92 (prod. n/a). 3- and 5-door sedan. F/F, 930, 987, 1235 cm³ (I4 OHC). New entry-level supermini from Nissan, slotting in under Pulsar. Some claimed it was inspired by Fiat Uno (146), and that Nissan gained the plans through industrial espionage. Shown originally as NX-018 show car at 1981 Tokyo Show. A very simple car at the beginning, specification improved over its long life, and turbo models added during mid-1980s’ turbo craze. Usually exported as Micra. Dependable, if dull, motoring, but its platform spawned a myriad of limited-production small cars from Nissan’s Pike Factory, including Be-1, S-Cargo and Figaro.
