Originally the export name for the second through fourth generations of the Mazda Demio, Mazda’s subcompact line following the 121. In 2019, Mazda unified the car’s names under Mazda 2, so on the home market it gained its international moniker. By 2021, Mazda sold a rebadged Toyota Yaris as the 2 hybrid in Europe.
