DOHC), 2499, 3456 cm³ (V6 DOHC). Very aggressive, though to some eyes less attractive, sporting sedan rivalling BMW 3er-Reihe (F30). Emphasis on sportiness, including very supportive seats reminiscent of LFA supercar’s, and 4WS for F Sport models. No recognizable Toyota switchgear in interior, more upmarket than predecessor’s. Hybrid set-up similar to Toyota Crown (S210). Pop-up bonnet to aid pedestrian safety. Longer wheelbase for a roomier interior. Hybrid managed 99 g/km of carbon dioxide output, while delivering 65·7 mpg (Imperial). More rigid bodyshell, and better handling, but steering and brakes kept it from being at the top of the class.
Marque: Lexus | Model: Lexus IS | Predecessor: Lexus IS (E20)
