Lancia Dedra (Tipo 3). 1989–2000 (prod. 418,084). 4-door saloon, 5-door estate. F/F, F/A, 1581 cm³ petrol, 1929 cm³ diesel (4 cyl. OHC), 1581, 1747, 1756, 1995 cm³ (4 cyl. DOHC). Booted version of contemporary compact Lancia Delta on Fiat Tipo floorpan, more up-to-date than Prisma, and marketed as a rival to Audi 80 and lower-end BMW 3er-Reihe. Elegant design from IDEA, with Cd at 0,29. Integrale with turbo and four-wheel drive from 1991. Estate from 1994. Unfortunate name in English-language markets, but not changed. Mild facelifts 1992, 1995 and 1997. Commercially unsuccessful outside Italy.
