Fiat Tempra (Tipo 3). 1990–2002 (prod. 204,795 in Brazil; 129,590 in Turkey; unknown for Italy). 4-door saloon, 5-door estate, 2-door coupé. F/F, 1372, 1581 cm³ petrol, 1929 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC), 1756, 1995 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Replacement for Regata, on Fiat Tipo (160) platform. Estate called Weekend. Coupé available from Brazil only and not offered outside South America. Mid-term revisions 1993. Sold on value and lagged behind rivals in mid-size sector, notably in finish and interior quality. Production to 1999, except in Egypt, where Tempra was produced at Nasr from 1996 to 2002.
