1971 Lancia 2000.jpg

Lancia 2000. 1971–4 (prod. 17,066, incl. 14,319 saloon). 4-door saloon, 2-door coupé. F/F, 1991 cm³ (F4 OHV). Ultimate development of the Flavia, with more modern front and rear ends. Two-litre engine carried over, in carburetted and fuel-injected forms, the latter with the more reliable Bosch rather than the Kugelfischer system. Disc brakes all round and independent suspension. Considered by some to be the real last Lancia, developed before the Fiat takeover, with far fewer corrosion issues. Coupé by Pininfarina, with new grille, squared-off tail, five-speed manual, power steering, and electronic fuel injection for 2000 HF model.

Manufacturing location: Italy

Marque: Lancia | Predecessor: Lancia Flavia (1960–71) | Successor: Lancia Gamma (1976–84)

q.v. Lancia Flavia Sport Zagato
