Lada Granta (ВАЗ-2190). 2011 to date (prod. unknown). 4-door saloon. F/F, 1597 cm³ (4 cyl. OHC), 1597 cm³ (4 cyl. DOHC). Replacement for both Kalina and Samara series, on Kalina (1118) platform. Despite this, VAZ claimed it was greatly improved over the Kalina, though quality remained suspect. Links to predecessor clear from styling. Outwardly, more formal grille and larger boot (500 ℓ). VAZ planned to export the 2190 throughout western Europe, pricing it as the Continent’s cheapest car.
