Honda City (AA). 1981–6 (prod. unknown). 3-door sedan, 2-door convertible. F/F, F/A, 1231 cm³ (4 cyl. OHC). Tall, spacious hatchback, slotting in beneath Civic, with option of small 50 cm³ folding motorcycle in Japanese market called Motocompo. Turbo models (from 1982) included wide-body variant. Usual Honda virtues of good economy and clever design. Originally tipped by media to be called Vigor; car called Jazz in Europe as Opel owned the City name there.
