Holden Ute (HX).jpg

Holden Belmont (HX). 1976–7 (prod. 110,669 all HX). 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon, 2-door utility, 2-door panel van. F/R, 3310 cm³ (6 cyl. OHV), 4146 cm³ (V8 OHV). Short-lived variant of full-size Holden launched July 1976, released to comply with new emissions’ regulation—with consequent loss in power. The 2·85-litre was deleted, so sedan and wagon began with the 3·3-litre six while the commercials had the 4·2-litre option. Last Belmont passenger cars, though ute and van continued into HZ series.
