Luxury version of Falcon, benefiting from extensive makeover, which helped increase sales. Dynamically superior to equivalent Holden Calais (VZ), though less sporting than XRs in base Falcon range. Double wishbone front and Control Blade independent rear suspension still helped handling, but softer ride in Fairmonts. V8 more fuel-efficient than Holden’s.
