Rebodied, improved AU, looking less special. Ford claimed it was targeting a more youthful driver (especially the G220, denoting 220 kW) with ‘athletic’ styling; the reality was that BA was becoming a stretched Falcon, even sharing rear lights for the first time since the 1960s. Better handling (car was lower) and ride than AU, improved interior though some materials still felt cheaper.
Marque: Ford | Model: Ford Fairlane | Predecessor: Ford Fairlane (AU) | Successor: Ford Fairlane (BF) q.v. Ford Falcon (BA)
