Third-generation Mira with larger engine and greater length (up 10 cm), plus side-impact beams. TR-XX turbo version available as a class 5 sedan. Four-wheel steering on top model (initially the TR-4 EFI). Full-time AWD model (X4) from November 1990, with sporting rally-spec X4-R from 1991. Mid-term changes 1992; crossover RV-4 model introduced. Moderno with distinctive grille, tailgate, and bumper, with more standard equipment, from 1993. Range simplified later that year. Production ended 1994. Formed the basis of the Perodua Kancil.
