1983 Chrysler New Yorker Fifth Avenue.jpg

Chrysler New Yorker Fifth Avenue (M-body). 1983 (prod. 83,501). 4-door sedan. F/R, 3680 cm³ (6 cyl. OHV), 5210 cm³ (V8 OHV). Largely a carryover of 1982, though the New Yorker line split into two. The regular New Yorkers were now on the E platform shared with the Dodge 600, while the traditional rear-wheel-drive model, based on the AspenVolaré, became the New Yorker Fifth Avenue. Final year with the New Yorker tag (for now), final year for the slant-six, and final year of Canadian manufacture.

Manufacturing location: Windsor, Ontario, Canada

Marque: Chrysler | Model: Chrysler New Yorker | Predecessor: Chrysler New Yorker (1982) | Successor: Chrysler Fifth Avenue
