Stretched K-car, marketed as an alternative to mid-sized German luxury saloons such as the BMW 5er-Reihe. Very roomy—on a par with the supposedly larger Dodge Diplomat (1977–89)—but far more economical as Chrysler shifted its range to front-wheel drive. Chrysler 2·2 or Mitsubishi 2·6. Well equipped. Not that successful, as buyers opted for FWD New Yorker instead. Twinned with Dodge 600 and Plymouth Caravelle (1983–8).
Marque: Chrysler | Predecessor: Chrysler Newport (1979–81) | Successor: Plymouth Caravelle (1983–8)
