Latest revision as of 08:58, 20 July 2014Chrysler (CH). 1971–3 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan, 2-door coupé. F/R, 265 in³ (I6 OHV), 360 in³ (V8 OHV). Long-wheelbase variants of the all-new, Australian-designed VH Valiant, but with distinctive, four-headlamp, wraparound front end, later adopted in South Africa by the Dodge SE. Coupé, with standard vinyl roof, was shared with VH range apart from front and rear design, while sedan—often referred to as the Chrysler by Chrysler—was noticeably larger and more imposing. Both models were a shade under 5 m long. Power steering, front disc brakes, power windows, push-button radio and illuminated ignition keyhole among standard items, beating what was available with the Holden Statesman (HQ).
