1991 Chevrolet Lumina Z-34 Coupé.jpg

Chevrolet Lumina (W-body). 1990–4 (prod. 901,245). 4-door sedan, 2-door coupé. F/F, 2190, 2474 cm³ (4 cyl. OHV), 3135 cm³ (V6 OHV), 3352 cm³ (V6 DOHC). Chevrolet’s answer to Ford Taurus Mk I, but more conventional and boxy. No wagon, though Lumina range included a minivan dubbed APV (q.v.). Priced well and represented good value. Quite roomy, and Euro and Z-34 models had good handling. Ride and steering below average, and the engines were forgettable other than the 3·4 V6.

Manufacturing location: Oshawa, Ontario, Canada

Marque: Chevrolet | Model: Chevrolet Lumina | Predecessor: Chevrolet Celebrity | Successor: Chevrolet Lumina (1995–2001)

q.v. Pontiac Grand Prix (1988–96), Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme (1988–97), Buick Regal (1988–96)
