2001 Chevrolet Cruze.jpg

Chevrolet Cruze (HR51S). 2001–8 (prod. n/a). 5-door sedan. F/F, F/A, 1328, 1490 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Reskinned version of Suzuki Swift (HT51S), characterized by four round brake lights in bumper. Exterior styled by Holden’s Peter Hughes. A cheap car sold as a fashion item, lacking in refinement. Sold in Japan first, but other Asian markets followed; badged Holden Cruze in Australasia from 2001 to 2006. The basic design was used for the European-market Suzuki Ignis (MHX), though without the characteristic round brake lights.

Manufacturing location: Kosai, Shizuoka, Japan

Marque: Chevrolet | Model: Chevrolet Cruze
