The Cruze was originally a Chevrolet version of the Suzuki Swift (HT51S), with new sheetmetal, aimed at Asian markets. The model, sold in Japan till 2008, was fairly unrefined compared to European small cars. Chevrolet then used the Cruze name for export versions of the Daewoo Lacetti Première from 2008, which later went into production in the US with its export name. Third generation launched in China in 2014, with a related North American model the following year. Korean production ceased 2018, with US and Mexican production following in 2019. It concluded in Argentina in 2023.

Marque: Chevrolet | Predecessor: Chevrolet Cobalt | Successors: Chevrolet Cavalier, Chevrolet Monza
