Reskinned version of Suzuki Swift (HT51S), characterized by four round brake lights in bumper. Exterior styled by Holden’s Peter Hughes. A cheap car sold as a fashion item, lacking in refinement. Sold in Japan first, but other Asian markets followed; badged Holden Cruze in Australasia from 2001 to 2006. The basic design was used for the European-market Suzuki Ignis, though without the characteristic round brake lights.
