Wuling Xingguang (五菱星光). 2023 to date (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/F, 9·5 kWh–1498 cm³, 20·5 kWh–1498 cm³ electric–petrol hybrid (I4 DOHC). Wuling comes up with its first mid-size passenger car, an attractive fastback sedan with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. EV planned for 2024. Better priced than its main competitor, the BYD Qin Plus, and a size larger. Minimalist, pleasant interior, with large 15·6 in central screen complemented by 8·8 in instrumentation screen. Fake leather, but well supporting seats. Good headroom. MacPherson struts up front and multi-link at rear. Despite the set-up, not as good to drive, and less refined than the BYD.
