Volvo 66. 1975–80 (prod. 107,000 approx.). 2-door saloon, 3-door estate. F/R, 1108, 1289 cm³ (I4 OHV). Renamed and facelifted DAF 66 with Variomatic continuously variable transmission. Volvo added larger bumpers, headrests, side-impact bars, safety steering wheel, improved torsional stiffness and rust protection, in line with its reputation for safety and longevity. Headlight wipers and washers were standard, and the Combi (estate) received a rear wiper from the 1977 model year on. Renault-supplied engines. Good for 135 km/h.
