Suzuki Wagon R/Maruti Suzuki Stingray (MH34S/MH44S). 2012 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door sedan. F/F, F/A, 658, 998 cm³ (I3 DOHC). Lighter, more fuel-efficient fifth-generation Wagon R, with energy-saving technologies. Ene-Charge used regenerative braking for electricity on Japanese models; Eco-Cool included stop–start. High-tensile steel (980 MPa) used, a first for the segment. Longer wheelbase than predecessor, at 2,425 mm.Stingray performance model launched shortly after more basic Wagon Rs, with different grille; smaller engine for Japanese Stingrays, larger engine for India (launched September 2013). Badge-engineered as Mazda Flair, with different grille and bumper; Stingray badge-engineered as Mazda Flair Custom Style. Japanese production ended in 2017, replaced by MH35S.
