Jensen Interceptor. 1966–76 (prod. 6,408). 2- and 3-door coupé, 2-door convertible. F/R, 6276, 7212 cm³ (V8 OHV). Jensen revives the Interceptor name with desirable Touring-designed grand tourer hiding powerful Chrysler V8s under the bonnet. Power steering standard for 1969. Mk IIs from 1970 saw revised front end, dashboard and interior; further changes, including vented discs, for Mk III in 1972. Interceptor SP, from 1971, had larger triple twin-choke carburettor V8 developing 385 bhp, identifiable by louvred bonnet; V8 with single four-choke carb, after Chrysler ended production of the earlier 7·2, in J-series from 1973. Convertibles from 1974 and rare coupé from 1975.
