Isuzu Aska (JJ). 1985–9 (prod. 108,512 incl. Florian Aska). 4-door sedan. F/F, 1817, 1994 cm³ petrol, 1995 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC). Japanese J-car, related to Chevrolet Cavalier and Opel Ascona, and even sold as a Holden Camira in New Zealand and Chevrolet Aska in parts of South America (e.g. Ecuador, where it was built under licence at Aymesa from 1986). Better built and more powerful engines than Australian Camira, more squared-off styling resembling Opel Rekord E2. Irmscher worked on a souped-up Aska, without harming the ride of the car.
