Haval Kugou. 2022 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/F, F/A, 1499 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Smaller (100 mm shorter) counterpart to the Haval Dagou, adding to an already confusing compact SUV line-up. Referred to in Anglophone press as Cool Dog, contrasting the larger Big Dog. Positioned as the “hard core” version of the Jolion and the sports-positioned Chitu, sharing their platform and 2,710 mm wheelbase, though not as capable as a body-on-frame UV. Cheaper price than Dagou, 18-speaker JVC audio system, 64-colour ambient lighting to match the music rhythm, and on-board fragrance system, in an effort to attract younger buyers.
