GAC Trumpchi GS8. 2021 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/F, F/A, 1991 cm³ petrol, 1·73 kWh–1991 cm³ electric–petrol hybrid (I4 DOHC). GAC’s largest crossover heads into its second generation, with a plug-in hybrid version. Noticeably larger, on GPMA platform, with over 100 mm added to length (now 4,980 mm) and 120 mm to wheelbase (2,920 mm). Styled by Darcy Gu. Interior with two screens: 12·3 in for the dashboard, 14·6 in for infotainment. Facelift in 2023, with GS8 Traveller gaining a more aggressive grille, and the GAC script replacing the original oval symbol. Spun off the ES9 PHEV, with a larger battery.
