Ford LTD (DF). 1995–6 (prod. 1,252). 4-door sedan. F/R, 3984 cm³ (I6 OHC), 4942 cm³ (V8 OHV). As with the Ford Fairlane (NF), LTD was heavily reworked with new sheetmetal and improvements under the skin. Rounder body, longer boot. V8 standard, though it could be ordered with the six. Floor-mounted park brake, analogue instrumentation, and driver’s airbag standard. Improved ride, handling and braking over DC, and not as floaty. Coils at front, live axle with Watt’s link at rear, with automatic self-levelling. Series II from October 1995.
