Fiat Dino Coupé.jpg

Fiat Dino (Tipo 135). 1966–73 (prod. 7,803, incl. 1,583 spider). 2-door coupé, 2-door convertible. F/R, 1987, 2418 cm³ (V6 DOHC). Ferrari-engined spider and coupé made to homologate Ferrari’s Dino engine for Formula 2, as over 500 production cars with it had to be made. Bertone styled the coupé, Pininfarina the spider, the latter appearing at Torino 1966, the coupé (by Giugiaro and Gandini) months later. Good performance thanks to its lightness, though the spider was let down by cheapened interior. Coupé was fancier, and the spider later inherited its appointments in February 1967. Larger 2·4 from 1969, coils at rear replacing leaf springs.

Manufacturing locations: Rivalta, Torino, Italy; Maranello, Modena, Italy

Marque: Fiat
