Fiat 1600 Sport
From AutocadeFiat 1600 Sport. 1970–2 (prod. n/a). F/R, 1625 cm³ (I4 OHV). Fiat Concórd took the Fiat 1500 Coupé Vignale and improved on the design, creating a fastback version with echoes of the Fiat 850 Coupé, and perhaps importantly, it was original enough for the royalty payments to Vignale to cease. Engineer Aldo Peritz headed the project. A well balanced coupé (53–47 front–rear), with coils at front, and solid rear axle, and considered a good, sporty car in its day. Higher compression from the OHV engine, at 9·2:1 versus the standard 8·8:1, good for 92 PS.
